William J. and Mrs. Sarah Collins Baker, died yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at his residence, 700 Boissevain Avenue. He was a native and a lifelong resident of Norfolk, a member of the Masonic Lodge, Knights of Pythias, Virginia Society of Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of Confederate Veterans and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. He was formerly city collector of Norfolk. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Isaac H. Smith, of Scotland Neck, N.C. and Miss Blanche Baker, of Norfolk and two brothers, Louis G.Y. Baker, of Norfolk and Edward N. Baker, of Wadesboro, N.C. Funeral arrangements had not been completed last night. *************************************************************************** William Lawrence Baker — Funeral services for Mr. Baker, whose death occurred Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock, will be conducted today at 12 o’clock noon, at the residence, 700 Boissevain avenue. The Rt. Rev. B. D. Tucker, D.D., bishop of the diocese of Southern Virginia, and the Rev. H. H. Covington, D.D., rector of St. Paul’s Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
