Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Monday January 23, 1933
Mrs. Josephine Emple Baker, wife of Edward N. Baker, formerly of Norfolk, died 
yesterday morning at 5 o'clock in Wadesboro, N.C.  She was the daughter of the 
late Nicholas W. Schenck, of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Wilmington, N.C. and Mrs. Mary 
Morris Schenck, of Wilmington.  The body will be brought to the home of Mr. 
Baker's sister, Miss Blanche Baker, 700 Boissevain avenue, today.  Funeral 
arrangements had not been completed last night but it was expected services 
would be held at 11 o'clock tomorrow morning and interment will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
