Mr. Baker was born in Putnam, VA. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Norfolk, where he was also a member of the Men's Bible Class. Mr. Baker was a WWII and Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Baker; two daughters, Linda Baker Meade of Pound, VA, Dawn Elaine Elsea of Charlotte, NC; two sons, Dennis Ewing Baker of Campton, KY, Charles Foster Baker of Virginia Beach; his mother, Margie Lambert Baker of Pound, VA; a sister, Mary Baker Bledsoe of Pound, VA; four brothers, Eugene Baker of Chattanooga, TN, Richard Baker of Knoxville, TN, Hubert Baker of Aiken, SC, Bobby Baker of Sterling, VA; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, February 21, 1994, in Trinity Baptist Church on Ballentine Blvd. in Norfolk, by Rev. John Mason. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Trinity Baptist Church on Ballentine Blvd. in Norfolk, VA. H.D.
