NORFOLK - Mary J. Baker, of the 2300 block of Courtney Ave., a retired 
beautician, died August 31, 1988, in a hospital

Mrs. Baker, a native of Hickory, Va., was the widow of Robert Baker. She was a 
member of Baptist Rock Baptist Church, Chesapeake.

Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Carpenter; a brother, Ezekiel Bright, both 
of Norfolk; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Home Chapel by 
the Rev. Anthony Ferebee. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
