MRS. DELIA M. BAKER
    Succumbs

Mrs. Delia Maude Baker of 2739 Beachmont Avenue passed unexpectedly at her 
native home, Arapahoe, N.C., Jan. 1. Funeral services were held at the Union 
Congregational Christian Church with the Rev. Z.P. Jenkins, pastor, officiating, 
Jan 5 at 2 p.m.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Hudson. At an early age she joined 
Smalls Chapel Christian Church. On coming to Norfolk she united with Union.
Survivors are her husband, Willie E. Baker; three sons, Kenny, Clifton and James 
of Norfolk; one daughter, Mrs. Lillie Saunders of Tampa, Fla.; mother, Mrs. 
Sarah Williams; three sisters, one brother, one grandchild, one daughter-in-law 
and one son-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graves Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in Calvary 
Cemetery.
