Norfolk Journal and Guide, Saturday, Aug 11,1962
Funeral services were held Sunday for James A. Baker, 82, of 859 avenue “B” at
Grace Episcopal Church.  The Rev. Walter D. Dennis of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal
Church, Hampton, delivered the eulogy.

Burial was in Calvary cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Baker was a native of James City County and was retired from the Seaboard
Railroad.

Mr. Baker’s survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha Baker;  a stepson, Ernest
Williams of Sacramento, CA;  and tow sisters, Mrs. Eliza Spruill of Morristown
NJ, and Mrs. Udora Ross of Staunton.
