H. T. BAKER U.S.N., RETIRED, DEAD Well-Known Resident of Norfolk Suffers Fatal Heart Attack On Street Car Comdr. Henry Thomas Baker, U.S.N., retired, well-known Norfolk resident, suffered a fatal heart attack while on his way downtown on a street car yesterday shortly after noon. He collapsed in his seat and several passengers on the car carried him quickly to the offices of Dr. Stuart D. Williams, in the Taylor Building. Dr. Williams summoned Dr. C.D.J. MacDonald, city coroner, whose offices adjoin his and together they made efforts to revive the stricken man. Commander Baker, however was dead within a minute or so after being taken to the office and artificial respiration and adrenalin injections proved futile. Commander Baker was a native of Jamestown, N.Y., the son of the late Charles and Mrs. Katharine Heffernan Baker, of that city. He had resided in Norfolk for the past 20 years. Beside his wife, Mrs. Lucie Ward Baker, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Philip L. Haynes; a son, Henry Drewry Baker; a brother, Scott Baker, of Jamestown; a sister, Mrs. Everard P. Miller, Jr., of Wuchang, China and several nieces and nephews. The body will be removed from the residence, 528 Boissevain Avenue, to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock.
