Mrs. Baldwin was a native of Alexandria, La. She was a member of Christ and St Luke’s Episcopal Church, Norfolk, and The All Saints Episcopal Church in Richmond. She was chairman of volunteers and served on the board of directors of Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters and was a member of the hospital’s Royster Circle. She served on the executive board of the Virginia chapter of the International Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons. She was vice president and a board member of Norfolk Women’s Council of the Navy League. Survivors include her husband, Francis B. C. Baldwin, a daughter, Katherine B. Toone of Richmond; a son, Francis Baldwin Jr. of Powhatan; two sisters, Ethel V. Farrell of Baton Rouge, La., and Juanita C. Leatherman of Alexandria, two brothers, John V. Pharis Jr. and Charles M. Pharis, both of Alexandria; and four grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Edward I. Swanson. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Christ and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
