Guy Baldwin died Thursday at 1:40 p.m. in a hospital after illness of several days. A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a daughter of John D. and Mrs. Fannie B. Capps Couper. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and Norfolk Museum of Arts and a life member of the Norfolk Branch of The Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Marjorie Couper Baldwin of Norfolk; three sons, Rufus G. Baldwin Jr. of Norfolk, Army Col. John D. Couper Baldwin of Blacksburg and Francis B.C. Baldwin of New York City; a sister, Mrs. Chester H. Prince of Norfolk; a brother, Retired Army Col. William Couper of Lexington; and six grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at noon in Cox Funeral Home by the Rev. Beverley Tucker White of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted and suggest contributions to a favorite charity.
