BALDWIN Mrs. H.V. Baldwin died Sunday evening at 8 o'clock at the home of her husband, in Manchester, Va., after a brief illness. She was in her 29th year. Mrs. Baldwin is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Bland, on Liberty street, and is a well-known and highly esteemed lady. Her remains will arrive in Berkley today at 12:25 o'clock and the funeral will be conducted from the Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church at 1 o'clock. The pastor, Rev. W.A. Slaymaker, will officiate, after which the remains will be interred in Magnolia Cemetery. ********************************************************* The funeral of the late Mrs. Jeanette Stuart, wife of Mr. H.V. Baldwin, of Petersburg, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Bland, was conducted from the Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. W.A. Slaymaker. The sacred edifice was filled by the many relatives and friends of the deceased, among whom she was most highly esteemed. The remarks by the pastor were beautifully selected and consoling to the bereaved family and friends. Her gentle life and amiable disposition were well known. The following selections were rendered by the choir: "Come, Ye Disconsolate," "Asleep in Jesus" and "Nearer, My God, to Thee." At the conclusion of the services her remains were laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery. Many beautiful floral designs were laid on and about the mound that marks her last resting place. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Messrs. W.B. Dougherty, W.L. Berkley, George G. Martin, L.C. Ives, C.L. Old, R.W. Roane, H.E. Roane and Dr. George W. Wallace. The music rendered by the choir for the occasion was of a high order.
