Virginian Pilot November 6, 1970

Mrs. Queen Esther Jones Baldwin of 400 Nicholson St. died Thursday morning in 
her home after a long illness.
A native of Norfolk, she was the wife of Herman L. Baldwin and a daughter of the 
late Moses Cornick and Mrs. Dorothy Cornick Moore.
She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church. 
Besides her husband, surviving are two sons, Herman D. Baldwin and Carlton A. 
Baldwin, and three daughters, Dorothy D. Baldwin, Janice H. Baldwin and Joan L. 
Baldwin, all of Norfolk; three brothers, Willie L. Jones, David L. Jones and 
Harry L. Jones of New York; and three grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Riddick Funeral Home by 
the Rev. J.L. Kearney. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Maiden name Jones per ancestry records even though parents' names given as 
Cornick.
