Norfolk Virginian October 9, 1888
BALL – In this city, Sunday, October 7th, at 8:20 p.m., WILLIAM B., only son of 
the late John B. and Mary A, Ball, aged 6 years.
Funeral from residence of his mother, 73 Cove street, THIS (Tuesday) AFTERNOON 
at 3 o’clock. Friends and acquaintances respectfully invited to attend.
Sleep in thy beauty,
Thou sweet angel child,
By sorrow unblighted.
By sin undefiled.

Like the dove to the Ark,
Thou hast flown to thy rest.
From the wild sea of strife,
To the home of the blest.
