Virginian-Pilto November 12, 1964
NORFOLK - William Jackson Ballance Sr., 65, of 3625 Bell St., son of Leslie 
Coleman and Mrs. Annie Sawyer Ballance, a native of Elizabeth City, N.C., and a 
resident of Norfolk most of his life, died in a hospital Tuesday. He was a 
Baptist.
Surviving are two sons, William J. Ballance Jr. and Leslie C. Ballance of Norfolk; 
a sister, Mrs. Pearl B. English of Franklin, Tenn.; a brother, Curtis I. Ballance 
of Norfolk; and three grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted in Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home Friday at 
11 a.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
