NORFOLK - Lucy Ann Banks , 77, born Dec. 26, 1933 to the late Hilton and Irene
Gregory in Buckingham County, Virginia, was called home to the Lord on Sept. 20,
2011. She was preceded in death by husband, Alfonzo Banks . She was a member of
the Second Calvary Baptist Church. She leaves behind daughters, Doris Jackson,
Edith McLellan, Audrey Powell, Phyllis Banks and Verna Bates; sons, Anthony,
Dennis, Keith and Otis; 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three
great-great-grandchildren.; sisters, Leona, Nora Lee, Lovella, Beatrice and
Shirley. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at Second Calvary
Baptist Church, 2940 Corprew Ave., Norfolk, VA 23504. The family will receive
friends from 1 to 6 p.m. today, Sept. 25, at Keith Matthews Funeral Home at 5665
E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502, who is handling all arrangements.
