Virginian-Pilot, March 25, 1982
NORFOLK - Lottie Abidan Banks, 80 of 3620 Somme Ave., died Wednesday in a 
hospital.
She was a native of Baltimore and the widow of William A. Banks. She was a 
member of B'nai Israel Congregation.
Survivors include four daughters, Rebecca Goldstein and Irene Mazel of Norfolk, 
Trudy Dayanim of Portsmouth and Flora Safer of Cincinnati; two sons, Martin M. 
Banks of Norfolk; a sister, Faye Abidan of Baltimore, 15 grandchildren; and 
four great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk, by Rabbi Israel Bornstein. Burial will be in B'nai Israel Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Hebrew Academy or the American Cancer 
Society.
