Norfolk Journal and Guide, Dec 18,1943
The funeral of Mrs. Sadie Banks,29, of 872 Vermont street, who died at her
residence on December 9, was held at Garrett AME Zion Church on December 13 with
the Rev. R. K. D. Garrett officiating.  A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she is
survived by four sons, three sisters, one brother, and other relatives.  Burial
was in Calvary Cemetery
