Norfolk Virginian Pilot October 15, 1948

 J. Frank Bannister, 66, husband of Mrs. Marla Walsh Bannister and son of the 
late Thomas J. and Mrs. Rose Branch Bannister, a native of Greenville, S.C. and 
a resident of Norfolk for 39 years, died yesterday at 8:05 a.m. at his 
residence, 2522 Druid Circle.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three brothers, James T. Bannister, of 
Portsmouth; Thomas J. Bannister and William Bannister, of Richmond; three 
sisters, Miss Mary Bannister, Mrs. Cecil W. Blanton and Mrs. Peter Hogan, all of 
Richmond.
The body will be taken from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. John T Callahan, 437 
Connecticut Avenue, to St. Mary's Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow 
at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be 
held at the Connecticut Avenue address tonight at 8 o'clock.

J. FRANK BANNISTER - The body of Mr. Bannister, who died Thursday, will be taken 
from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Callahan, 437 Connecticut Avenue, to 
St. Mary's Catholic Church for funeral services today at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will 
be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
