FRANCIS P. BANNON

NORFOLK - Francis Patrick Bannon, 70, of 9521 Warwick Ave., the husband of Mrs. 
Mary Kathryn Collins Bannon and a lifelong Norfolk resident, died Wednesday in a 
hospital.

He worked at Norfolk Naval Shipyard 30 years and retired.  He was a Navy veteran 
of World War II.  He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Jane K. Myers and Mrs. Theresa M. 
Phillip of Norfolk, and Mrs. Ruth Batts of Chesapeake; three sons, Francis P. 
Bannon Jr., Michael L. Bannon, and Thomas E. Bannon of Norfolk; and 17 
grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic 
Church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.  The Rosary will be said tonight at 
7:30 in Holy Trinity Church.  H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments has charge.
