BANNON NORFOLK - Mary Kathryn Collins Bannon of the 9500 block of Warwick Ave., died April 18, 1987, in a Virginia Beach Hospital. Mrs. Bannon, a New York City native, was the widow of Francis Patrick Bannon Sr. She was a member and eucharistic minister at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post 3160. Survivors include three daughters, Jane K. Myers of Herndon, Ruth Batts of Chesapeake and Therese B. Phillips of Norfolk; three sons, Francis P. Bannon Jr., Michael L. Bannon and Thomas E. Bannon, all of Norfolk; three sisters, Helen O'Toole of Patchogue, N.Y., Rita Collins of Astoria, N.Y., and Patricia Collins of Mahopa, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Joseph Slattery. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.
