E. BANNON, 58, EX-POLICEMAN NORFOLK - Thomas Edward (Eddie) Bannon, 58, of 1612 W, 48th St., former policeman, who has worked for Yellow Cab Co. as driver and dispatcher since 1947, died Friday at 7:15 p.m. in a hospital. He was in the Police division 7 years. A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was the husband of Mrs. Rose Meier Bannon and a son of the late Francis P. and Mrs. Jane Manning Bannon Sr. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Besides his widow, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Louise Yates and Mrs. Lois Jean Tesmer of Norfolk; two sons, Jay Bannon of Norfolk and Leroy William Stell of Duncanville, Pa.; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret B. Walker, Mrs. John F. Regan, Mrs. J. E. Stevenson and Mrs. Warren M. Shanks and two brothers, Martin J. Bannon and Francis Patrick Bannon Jr., all of Norfolk; and 19 grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
