He was a native of Baltimore and a resident of Norfolk for the past 46 years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society of the church. On August 28, 1903 he was appointed a member of the Norfolk Fire Department and served in that capacity until January 1, 1924, when he was retired from active duty due to illness. Surviving him are three sons, Martin J., Thomas E. and Francis Patrick Bannon, Jr., all of Norfolk; four daughters, Mrs. B.L. Walker, of Norfolk; Mrs. John C. Reagan, of Portsmouth; Mrs. James E. Stephenson of Norfolk and Mrs. M.D. Luggerio, of Norfolk; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren' a sister, Mrs. James White, of Baltimore and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be taken from the residence of Mr. Bannon's son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Stephenson, 211 West Thirteenth Street to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. James Stephenson, 211 West Thirteenth Street tonight at 8:30 o'clock. ****************************************************************** FRANCIS PATRICK BANNON - The body of Mr. Bannon, who died Sunday afternoon, will be taken from the residence of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Stephenson, 211 West Thirteenth Street, to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for funeral services this morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
