Bannon, aged 73, son of the late Lawrence and Bridget Burke Bannon, a native of Baltimore and a well known resident of Norfolk for the past 50 years, died at 4 a.m. yesterday at the residence, 142 Tenth Street. Mr. Bannon was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. James White, of Baltimore; one brother, F.P. Bannon, of Norfolk and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be taken from the residence to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow morning at 9:30 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. ************************************************************************** THOMAS E. BANNON - Funeral services for Thomas E. Bannon, whose death occurred Thursday, were held at 9:30 o'clock yesterday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Patrick J. Tierney officiating. Rev. E. A. Brosnan was present in the sanctuary. During the service, Mrs. Stark A. Sutton sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought," with Prof. J. Harvey Stevens, accompanist. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies, carnations and ferns. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery. The pallbearers were James E. Galvin, J. J. Carty, William E. Dear, M. J. Cannon, James Skinner, William P. Moore, R. A. Harris and P. F. Herron. In his address at the conclusion of the mass, Father Tierney spoke of the faithfulness of Mr. Bannon to his church.
