Besides his wife, he is survived by six daughters, Mrs. R.M. Wells, Mrs. J.H. Smith, Misses Dorothy Mae, Gloria Hope, Ruth Constance and Norma Jean Barbour, all of Norfolk; three sons, Albert M. Barbour, of Philadelphia; James E. and Robert E. Barbour, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Mims, of Durham, N.C., and Mrs. J.O. Suggs, of Dunn, N.C.; two brothers, D.A. and J.D. Barbour, both of Durham; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Barbour was a native of Smithfield, N.C., and had been a resident of Norfolk 26 years. He was a member of the Norfolk Police Department for 14 years and for nine years in the employ of the Ford motor plant and resided at 3239 Lyons avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
