NORFOLK - Mrs. Mable R. Barco of 2502 Barre St., the widow of Elijah Barco and a 
native of Dinwiddie County, Va., died Tuesday in a Virginia Beach nursing home.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Streets, and its Dorcas Class, 
the Dei-Ram-Ne-Mows Civic and Social Club, Lindenwood Garden Club, Travelers 
Club, and Norfolk Temple 1A Daughter of Elks and Shirine Department.

Survivors include a son, Robert L. Barco of Virginia Beach; a grandchild; a 
great-grandchild; a foster grandchild; and a foster great-grandchild.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be held 
by Norfolk Temple 1A tonight at 7:30. A funeral will be held Friday at noon in 
First Baptist Church, Bute Street, by the Rev. LaVert H. Taylor. Burial will be 
in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at her home. Memorial donations may be 
made to the American Cancer Society. The body will be in church Friday at 10 
a.m.
