Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, December 16, 2008 
NORFOLK - Inez B. Barco , 87, of the 5800 block of Azalea Garden Road, passed
away in Oakwood Nursing Home Dec. 12, 2008. She was born Dec. 13, 1920, to the
late Sherman and Daffie Boone in Ahoskie, N.C. She was predeceased by her
husband, Robert L. Barco and a sister, Vernice Guy.

Inez was a graduate of West Virginia State College and retired from the Norfolk
Navy Supply Center. She was a member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church and
a retired member of the Kiske Social Club.

Survivors include a son, Rowland Harper Jr. (Mary); a brother, J. Gaylord Boone
of Silver Spring, Md.; three grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and
friends.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Metropolitan
Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk.
Family and friends will assemble at 5802 Azalea Garden Road one hour prior to
service for procession to the chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to
7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered at
