Ledger-Star January 3, 1944
George W. Barcroft, 73, son of the late Edward J. and Mrs. Henrietta Foushee 
Barcroft, a lifelong resident of this section, died at the residence, 820 Clay 
avenue, Sunday morning at 3:15 o’clock. He is survived by one niece, Miss Grace L. 
Harrison, and a nephew, Hunter Harrison, both of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
