NORFOLK - Charlie Barfield, of 7420 Gregory Ave. died Saturday in a Petersburg 
hospital.

A native of Snow Hill, N.C., he was the husband of Mrs. Gencie Barfield and a 
son of the late John and Mrs. Margaret Barfield.

Besides his widow, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Laura L. Harper of Clayton, 
N.C., and Mrs. Rosa L. Johnson of Norfolk.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Hale Funeral Chapel by 
the Rev. J.L. Kearney. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
