Norfolk Virginian Pilot May 18, 1940

Miss Mary Elizabeth Barham, 21, daughter of Osma P. and Mrs. Elizabeth Gildea 
Barham, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at 9:45 o'clock 
yesterday morning at her home, 318 Ward Avenue. Besides her parents, she is 
survived by six sisters, the Misses Mildred G. Evelyn, Ruth and Gertrude A. 
Barham, of Norfolk; Mrs. J.S. Bechtel, of Baltimore and Mrs. B.G. Mazzara, of 
New Orleans and four brothers, Osma P., Jr., Robert B., William and Herbert D. 
Barham, of Norfolk. Miss Barham was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Church. 
Services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 
Colonial Avenue Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Interment will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
