JOHN V. BARKLEY

NORFOLK - John Virginius Barkley, 77, of 310 W. Princess Anne Road, the husband 
of Mrs. Rose Agnes Rossano Barkley and a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Barkley, died 
in a hospital Friday evening.

He was a retired employee of the Norfolk Police Division.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, John O. Barkley of the Army; two step-
sons, Samuel J. Miller and Wendell J. Miller of Norfolk; and three sisters, Mrs. 
Margaret B. Evans, Mrs. S. Perry and Mrs. Helen B. Pezzella of Norfolk.

A funeral service will be held in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday at 11 
a.m.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
