Rose Agnes Rossano Barkley, 91, of the 7000 block of Lilac Court, a retired store 
manager, died Dec. 1, 1991, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

Mrs. Barkley was born in Norfolk and had retired from S.S. Kresge Co. after 26 
years. She was a Roman Catholic and was the widow of John V. Barkley.

Survivors include two sons, Samuel J. Miller of Norfolk and John O. Barkley of 
Virginia Beach; a sister, Marie Gearheart of Norfolk; seven grandchildren and 
four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church 
by the Rev. John Dorgan. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Christian wake 
service will be at 6 p.m. today in in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.

Memorial donations may be made to the church's building fund.
