Norfolk Journal and Guide, Aug 3, 1963
Norfolk - Claude C. Barner Sr. of 1329 Maltby avenue, a retired longshoreman, 
will receive final rites Sunday at 1 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Home.

Bishop C. H. Perry will officiate at the service.  Burial will be in Calvary 
Cemetery.

Mr. Barner died July 29 at a Norfolk hospital.

A native of Robersonville, NC, Mr. Barner is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie 
Barner;  two daughters, Mrs. Annie Thompson of Detroit and Mrs. Bernice Jones 
of Norfolk;  two sos, Douglas and Claude C. Barner Jr. of Norfolk;  14 
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
