NORFOLK – William Larry Barnes, 27, of the 1000 block of Philpotts Road, died August
24, 1986, in a hospital.

Mr. Barnes was a member of Garden of Prayer Church of God in Christ and the boxing
team at Norfolk Naval Station.

Survivors include a daughter, Vida L. Reid; a son, William D. Martin; his parents,
Elizabeth Green and Jerry Coleman; and a brother, Samuel Barnes, all of Norfolk.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Twilight Funeral Home, Norfolk.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A wake service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday
in the funeral home. The family will be at the residence.
