Mrs. Daisy Barnes Dies; Final Rites Tomorrow

NORFOLK - Mrs. Daisy Barnes, 816 Windsor Ave., died at her home Saturday at 
12:25 p.m.

Daughter of Henry and Mrs. Lucy Gay, she was a native of Jackson, N.C., but had 
lived here for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Barnes, and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Ferebee, 
both of Norfolk.

The body was taken to the Hale Funeral Home where funeral services will be 
conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. by the Rev. J.J. Freeman, pastor of Queen Street 
Baptist Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
