Norfolk native David "Chub" Barnes, 40, of the 900 block of Freemont, died 
October 20, 2000, at Sentara Norfolk General.

He is survived by a daughter, Alisha Fuller; two sons, David Scott and Akeem 
Ingram; four sisters, Shirley Wilson, Linda Barnes, Theolia Barnes and Laversa 
Cartwright; and three brothers, Hammad Ali Salaam, Walter Barnes and Anthony 
Barnes. He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Walter Barnes; and a 
brother, Sherwood Walker.


A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Graves Funeral Home Chapel. Burial 
will be in Calvary Cemetery.
