A native of Wilson, N.C., she was the wife of John Henry Barnes and a daughter of the late Gene and Mrs. Lou Moye. She was a member of Willing Workers Club of Mt. Zion Holiness Church and its Prayer Band. Besides her husband, surviving are two sons, Fletcher Barnes and Mance Barnes, and four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Johnson, Mrs. Gloria Stewart, Mrs. Ruth Frazier and Mrs. Hulley Calhoun, all of Norfolk; two brothers, Johnnie Moye and Colyun Moye of Wilson; four sisters, Miss Pearl Moye and Mrs. Clara Saunders of Durham, Mrs. Cora Mitchell of Wilson and Mrs. Hattie Ellis of Farmville, N.C.; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Mt. Zion Holiness Church by the Rev. A.B. Robinson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Service in charge.
