Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, April 26, 2000 
Paul M. Barnes of the 2200 block of Barraud Ave., died April 20, 2000.

Born in Norfolk, he was a carpenter and had been in the construction business
for 30 years. He was a member of New Hope Church of God in Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Lenora Barnes; four daughters, Robin Ritter and
husband, Derrick, of Virginia Beach, Diane Gray and husband, Robert, of Norfolk,
Yvonne Whitley and Estella Barnes, both of Norfolk; a son, William Whitley and
wife, Renee, of Norfolk; eight grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and
friends.

A funeral will be held at noon today in New Hope COGIC by Dr. Herman Clark.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble
at 2224 Barraud Ave. at 11 a.m. for the procession. Metropolitan Funeral
Service, Granby Street, is in charge.
