Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, August 31, 1997 
Sadie L. Barnes of the 100 block of Seekel St. died Aug. 28, 1997.

She was a supervisor for the Norfolk Naval Base, retiring with 30 years of
service. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bolling Brook, Norfolk, and
its trustee board and missionary circle.

Survivors include a daughter, Regina Henderson of Norfolk; two sisters, Flora B.
Johnson and Audrey C. Sweatt, both of Norfolk; a brother, John P. Barnes of
Norfolk; two grandchildren, Angela Henderson Hughes and Terricko A. Henderson,
both of Norfolk; two aunts; 12 nieces; nine nephews; an uncle; a brother-in-law;
a sister-in-law; and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in First Baptist Church, Bolling
Brook, by the Rev. Clinton Brown. The body will be placed in church at 10:30
a.m. Tuesday. The family and friends will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m.
for the procession. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Hale Funeral Home is
handling arrangements.
