BARNES - Suddenly at St. Vincent's Hospital, Wednesday, July 14, 1909, at 1 o
o'clock a.m. HARRY C. BARNES.
The funeral will take place Friday morning, July 16, at 10:30 o'clock from his la
late residence, 203 Willoughby Avenue. Funeral Private.

Virginian-Pilot, July 18, 1909 [Extract]
A coroner's jury yesterday afternoon rendered a verdict that Harry C. Barnes 
came to his death at St. Vincent's Hospital on July 14 from an overdose of 
opium administered by his own hand with suicidal intent.
