Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, March 14, 1991
James C. Barnes Jr. of the 3600 block of Killam Ave. died March 12, 1991, in a 
hospital. 

Mr. Barnes, a native of Norfolk, had retired from Southland Corporation after 1 
1/2 years. He was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church. 

He is survived by his parents, Lucille Harmon Barnes and James C. Barnes Sr. of 
Norfolk. 

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Queen Street Baptist Church by 
the Rev. Howard Purvis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Graves Funeral Home 
is handling arrangements. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. 
Saturday. Friends may join the family at the residence.
