Joe W . Barnes Sr. Norfolk - Joe " Joe Willie" "Tex" Barnes Sr. 57 went to be 
with the Lord on Friday, December 7, 2012. He was employed with the Local 
Laborers Union for 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jeanette 
Barnes ; 6 children, Anthony, Latonya, Joe Jr., Iesha, Kevin and Tylisha; 19 
grandchildren and 9 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, John 
Barnes and Daisy Knight and one sister. A funeral service will be held at 
11:00am, Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby 
St. Chapel. Family receiving friends, 6-7pm, Friday at the funeral home.
