Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, November 26, 1996 
Fletcher Lee Barnes Sr., 65, of the 800 block of Smith St. died Nov. 23, 1996,
while sleeping peacefully at his residence.

A retired truck driver for Wilson Trucking Co., Mr. Barnes was a native of
Norfolk County and the son of the late John and Elizabeth Moye Barnes. He was
the widower of Jeanette D. Barnes and an Army veteran of Korea.

Survivors include three daughters, Jeanette Denise Barnes, Shelia B. Gregg and
Trina D. Barnes; four sons, Fletcher L. Barnes Jr., Tyrone A. Barnes, Shelton A.
Barnes and Troy A. Barnes; sister, Ethel Barnes; brother, Mance Barnes; and 13
grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Riddick Funeral Service. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the
funeral home. The family will be at 846 Smith St.
