Barnett Sr. of 1328 Ann St., a native of Norfolk County and the husband of Mrs. Pearl Barnett, died Friday in a hospital. He was a 30-year employe of the Naval air Station's plant service facility and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Baptist. Other survivors include three daughters, Miss Barbara Jean Barnett and Miss Evelyn Barnett of New York, and Mrs. Wilhelmina Gasden of South Carolina; three sons, William T. Barnett Jr. and Frederick Barnett of New York, and Charles Barnett of Dallas, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Martha Brothers of Virginia Beach; a brother, Stanley Barnett of Norfolk; and three grandchildren. A funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Hale Funeral Chapel by the Rev. LaVert Taylor of First Baptist Church, Bute Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at the home of a brother, 440 Colonial Ave., Norfolk. Additional Comments: Headstone includes last name is Barnette.
