Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - August 10, 1991

Caleb L. Barney of the 400 block of W. 35th St., a construction worker, died 
Aug. 1, 1991, in his home.
Mr. Barney was born in Princess Anne County and was a Baptist. He was 
employed with Falcon Construction Co.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Barney; a daughter, Carrie Smith and 
two sons, Caleb L. Simmons and Ronnie E. Simmons, all of Norfolk; a brother, 
Lewis Barney of New York; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Carlos A. Howard Funeral 
Home by Elder Clarence Gatlin. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Viewing 
will begin at 3 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Friends may join the family 
at 912 St. Paul St., and will assemble there at 11 a.m. for the procession.
