Virginian-Pilot February 21, 1936
BARRETT, BETTIE BURFORD – At her residence, 327 Fort street, Wednesday morning, 
February 19, 1936, at 10:45 o’clock, MRS. BETTIE BURFORD BARRETT, beloved wife of 
J. F. Barrett, in the 54th year of her age.
Remains were taken from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne 
road, to the above residence where funeral services will be conducted THIS 
(Friday) AFTERNOON at 3 o’clock. Friends of the family invited to attend. Burial, 
Elmwood Cemetery.
