Norfolk Virginian July 27, 1892
A jury of inquest, with Justice Dalton acting coroner, viewed the body yesterday 
of Florence Barrett, colored, who committed suicide by an overdose of laudanum in 
her room in Rhea’s lane, and rendered a verdict in accordance with the facts 
stated.
