Norfolk Virginian Pilot January 9, 1936
Robert Winfield Barrett, aged 83, son of Robert J. and Martha Butt Barrett, 
died at his residence, 514 Clay avenue, last night at 7:20 o'clock. Mr. Barrett 
was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. He was a member of Park Avenue 
Baptist Church and the J.U.O.A.M. Surviving him are three daughters, Mrs. 
Charles E. Pond, Mrs. A.J. Harden and Miss Edna H. Barrett, all of Norfolk; two 
sons, P.L. Barrett, of Norfolk, and William M. Barrett, of Panama; 13 
grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Morse, and 
Mrs. Inez Holland, both of Norfolk. 
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
