 Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday April 25, 1941
Randall M. Barrett, D.D.S., aged 86, husband of Mrs. Emma Whitehurst 
Barrett, and son of the late John and Mrs. Abigail Witherspoon Barrett, a 
native of Rockport, Maine, and a well known resident of Norfolk for the past 
61 years, died yesterday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock at the residence, 3 
Severn Apartments, 703 Boissevain avenue.  Besides his wife, Mrs. Emma 
Whitehurst Barrett, he is survived by one son, Montague W. Barrett, and a 
granddaughter, Miss Mary E. Barrett of Norfolk and a nephew, Ross E. 
Patterson, of Rockport,
Services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
1501 Colonial avenue, Saturday morning at 11 o'clock, with the Rev. Sparks 
W. Melton, D.D., pastor of Freemason Street Baptist Church, officiating.  
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
