Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, November 13, 1995

Vernon Cleveland Barrett, 84, of the 5900 block of Poplar Hall Drive, died 
Nov. 7, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. Barrett was born in Norfolk County. He was a retired copy editor for 
various newspapers. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include one son, Stephen Barrett of Chesapeake; one sister, Vera Lee 
Robinson of Lancaster, Pa.; one brother, John Carlton Barrett of Norfolk; and 
one grandson, Daniel Barrett of Chesapeake.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Ernest 
L. Trueblood in Elmwood Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge 
Chapel in charge.
