Nancy Truxtun Barron , 84, died Jan. 28, 2004, in Lexington, Ky.

Mrs. Barron was born in Norfolk and was the daughter of the late Nancy Pryor 
Truxtun and Issac Walke Truxtun and widow of Richard Samuel Barron. Mrs. Barron 
attended Smith College and was a member of Christ and St. Luke’s Episcopal 
Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy T. Barron II of Lexington, Ky., 
Calvert Barron of Point Richmond, Calif., and Sally H. Kunkle of Brookings, 
Ore.; her sister, Calvert Truxtun Holloway of Wheeling, W.Va.; and three 
grandchildren, William T. Brown of Norfolk, Julie Huxtable and Cee Cee 
Huxtable, both of Brookings.



A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Christ and St. Luke’s 
Episcopal Church by the Rev. Gordon Davis and the Rev. Lottie Cochran. Memorial 
donations may be made to the Norfolk Senior Center, 924 W. 21st St., Norfolk, 
VA 23517. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
