MORAN, SR. - At a local hospital, Tuesday, July 21, 1942, at 7:16 o'clock a.m., C. MORAN BARRY, SR., son of the late Thomas Moran and Mrs. Virginia Lovitt Barry, in the 64th year of his age. Remains will be taken from the residence, No. 7475 Gleneagles Road, to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for funeral service THURSDAY MORNING at 10 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery. *************************************************************************** C. MORAN BARRY - Funeral services for Mr. Barry, who died Tuesday morning at local hospital, were held yesterday at 10 o'clock at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with the Rev. J. O. Schmidhauser, officiating. The Rev. J. F. Govaert, the Rev. E. P. Kilgalen, the Rev. James Albert, S. S. J. and the Rev. Thomas E. Burke, S. S. J. were present in the sanctuary. Mrs. Anna Smith and Joseph McGlinchy sang "Veni Jesu" and "Abide With Me," with Mrs. C. R. Davies as accompanist. The Rev. J. F. Govaert paid tribute to the Christian life and character of Mr. Barry. Members of the Norfolk Real Estate Board were in attendance. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted by Father Govaert. Honorary pallbearers were Rufus Parks, Perry W. Ruth, W. Ludwell Baldwin, C. Fred Bonney, W. L. Prieur, Sr., Armistead Borland, Col. Charles B. Borland, A. Brooke Taylor, John D. Gordan, George A. Foote, Fred R. Barrett, William W. Old, Hanford T. Cruser, Goldsborough Serpell, J. Bilisoly Hudgins, Abner S. Pope, Vice Adm. Guy H. Burrage, Harry A. Brinkley, William W. Dey, E. R. Willcox and Keville Glennan. Active pallbearers were James E. Barry, James B. McCaw, Barron S. Segar, George H. Bowers, Littleton W. Parks, E. Stanley Broach, Edwin R. Mackethan, John J. Baecher, Dan D. Friary and Joseph M. Shannon.
